My Pack; an O'GIO in Black. I have recently made the move from a briefcase with strap to a backpack. TH packpack holds much more, and allows me to carry more weight for longer distances. This O'GIO model is ideal for the long urban commuter: I now carry laptop, Ipod, folders, chargers, food, coffee thermos, etc etc with ease

Pens & Ipod

Left: my pen case with a laser pointer for presentations, a Blue Unibal Gel Impact RT everyday pen, and a nicer rollerball. Case and rollerbal from Levenger, Gel from Office Max, and Laser from Radio Shack. Ipod Generation III VW Beetle special edition with 3500 soungs, mostly rock and world mix, and podcasts, including TWIT, Rick Steve and NPR. Orange leather IPOD case from Levenger.

Chocolate and Shades

Black Bic exact-tip for note taking, Porsche design Serengetti sunglasses and case, Scharfen Berger dark chocolate. THe chocolate is from Trader joes - my vote for the best chocolate value in the US. Dark, rich, with fruit and cocoanut notes, this chocolate melts exactly right on the tongue, with just a hint of sweetness. Memo to self - explain the Great Rental Car Scam - the source of the Serengettis.

Lips in Balance

Balance Gold - I never go anywhere without a couple of these - my favorite of the meal bars. when I'm on the road, I eat 3 or four meals a week of these. Caramel Nut Blast is my favorite, Triple chocolate is good too, Cookies and Cream tastes like pertochemical byproducts. I like the Carb-protien balance in these. Kiehl's Lip Balm - simply the best. My Motorola Quad-band GSM phone and bluetooth earpiece - good here, good in the jungles of Belize. Levenger biege case to carry earpiece and charger.

The Whole Package

the whole package - including The Economist, Ricola Herbal Drops, IBM T43 laptop w/ 1Gig memory and charger, Levenger Circa system binder w/ custom cover, and primitive analog day-timer pocket edition notepad and phone log pad. I tried a PDA for a while but went back to the day-timer - PDA was too much hassle for a guy who almost always has a laptop with him.
